Whole sewerage network in South Zone area had been commission since more than one year. But MC Amritsar is not taking over this sewer. Continued correspondence is being made with MC Asr but still no action has been taken by them. There is huge problem of Maintenance as local public representative put pressure on our department to do regular maintenance which is prerogative of MC Asr. Furthermore, there is no provision for maintenance in JICA project. Now estimate for O&M has been sent to MC Asr for providing funds for O&M already done. Urgent intervention is required from higher level |
The undersigned had joint meetings with all EEs/SE of MCA and TA to CM. CEO Sir also intervened and had talk with Commissioner MCA. Continuous daily efforts are being made by myself/EE/SDE/JE. In spite of all these, the MCA officers/officials are willfully delaying the process. Only 13 km sewer in south has just been checked by MCA JEs but that too not yet taken over. During this month only four km sewer in North Zone has been taken over making total as 5 km. Suitable immediate action is urgently required. |
